I have been trying to plan a trip for me and my wife for our 20th anniversary. We want to stay at an all inclusive resort that is adults only. I have it narrowed down to Excellence El Carmen in Dominican Republic and the Couples Tower Isle in Jamaica. I am looking for recommendations from folks that have stayed at either or both of these hotels. Thanks!

Tower isle, is that the one where you have to go nude to go to the island? We did our honey moon at royal Caribbean in Jamaica and I remember reading about that place when we were looking for places to stay.

Also, I would recommend the Royal Caribbean, it’s part of the sandals brand but it is very small, only about 30-40 rooms so you don’t have to deal with people like at a big resort.

I'm in the minority but I didn't care for the Excellence food in Punta Cana and I stayed at both places when I went. Stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres and it was miles better food wise than PC

I enjoyed couples swept away in Negril. I would imagine tower isle would be fine.

I second this. It is also a quick ride from Sandals Montego Bay which is also included.

I have done several Sandals and this is my favorite.

It was a great trip. I had the Imperial Suite with Excellence Club. The suite was great and only a 50 foot walk to the beach. My only complaint is that the water was a little cold in our private pool if the sun was not shining directly on it (but that is what I get for going to the beach in March) and the seas were a little rough. Other than that the food was good, the drinks were flowing and the service was excellent. I will say that while the place was almost booked to capacity it felt like a ghost town most of the time. Since we were beachfront and had our own pool we didn't spend any time at the main pools. If a quiet, relaxing time full of drinks and food is what you are looking for then you booked the right place. If you are looking to party you will need to look elsewhere.

Perfect, thank you. We also reserved the Excellence Club Beachfront, looking forward to a nice quiet week.
