Anyone ever stayed at the Edison Hotel? Pros? Cons?

It's been 10 years, but I liked my stay. It was for business and was close to what I needed to be close to. Staff and lobby were nice. Room was clean and adequate for NYC.
I prefer to stay in the Nolita/NoHo area...or west village for a vacation though. I have been to NYC over 20 times though. If this is a first visit or so, that hotel would be a good location.

Stayed there a long time ago. At that time it was a very basic hotel. Location was convenient. It was bare bones back then. That was 20 years at least.

I’ve never stayed there but if you do, get a table one night at Friedman’s in the lobby for the Gayle’s Broadway Rose show. It’s like Ellen’s Stardust with aspiring Broadway singers as servers, but the food is better and you don’t have to wait in line.
