Drivers License not scanning at TSA

Has anyone run across this? Nothing wrong with our flight tickets or reservations, but when going through the TSA checkpoint one of our IDs just would not scan. It kept giving the TSA agent an error message. They were nice enough to let us through at both airports, but it happened both times with the same ID.
We've flown probably a dozen times with this ID and it doesn't expire til 2023. Its a RealID issued in Louisiana.

When I originally upgraded to the REAL ID last year, mine did not scan anywhere. (airport, grocery store, etc..) It just expired so I got a new REAL ID, and this one scans fine everywhere.

I don't have Real ID and I have had that problem at MSY and DCA.

Yes,
My driver's license scanned on the way to Anaheim for the UCLA game, but did not for my return flight.
The TSA guy scanned it a few times and requested a second form of photo ID. I gave him my Conceal Carry License, which is a photo ID, and the agent rejected it stating it did not qualify.
I explained to him that the license scanned a few days prior and that the license not scanning "is a you problem, not a me problem."
The TSA woman working on the side of him ran my license on her machine instead of his and the license scanned immediately.
I though my wife would have been pissed at me for saying that to the TSA agent but she was happy I squashed the idea immediately that my license was the problem. She wasn't missing her flight for a license that had no problem scanning days before.

I'm glad you got back.
I've seen other folks take similar stances with TSA folks and not have a positive outcome.

Get Clear. You never have to show them your DL.
