Had a change of plans and we’re headed to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg next week. We’re looking at going to Dollywood on Friday, but my wife is concerned about long lines. It’ll be the only sunny day of the week and during spring break time.

Any tips on going to Dollywood? Worth it? It’s a pricey ticket at $450+ for a family of four, and I definitely don’t want to spend the day frustrated about crowds.

It gets pretty crowded up there during spring break time frame. Expect long lines, especially if it's the only clear day during the week.

Interested as well. We’ll be in the area the latter part of next week and the older ones may go. Younger ones aren’t big on coasters or theme parks so we may split up, but if it is a waste of a day waiting in lines there is plenty of other stuff to do around there instead.

Same with Disney. Get there as early as you can and hit biggest rides first. Was there for spring break 2 years ago. Morning wasn't crazy bad, but later in the day it got, the crazier the wait times were. Very clean park and my family very much enjoyed themselves. Just manage your expectations and make sure you get the cinnamon bread stuff.

Go up to guest services and get a medical pass. Just tell them something random. They legally cannot ask for proof or documentation. Its essentially a free skip the line pass.
