Looking at taking my youngest in early April. Any idea on the crowds that time of year?

From some random Disney calendar site:

APRIL 2021
April 1-11 – Peak Easter crowds, with the heaviest days on Easter Weekend.
April 12-16 – light crowds
April 17-18 – weekends will likely remain busier than weekdays as Annual Passholders plan their visits around the workweek

I think last I saw they're still only operating at 35% capacity, which sounds like a good thing until you find out that they're still not doing Fast Pass.

Correct with the fast passes. A buddy went last week. 45-60 minute waits on most attractions. He said it sucked and hated it.

Yeah cant judge traditional history on Disney right now.

It pretty much doesnt matter when you go right now. With the capacity most days end up being pretty much the same now.

The bigger issue isnt just no fast pass. I actually as crazy as it sounds dont mind it. Whats adding so much to all of the lines are No character meet and greets and lack of shows and not all restaurants being opened. Those things are all HUGE crowd absorbers and now with those gone it makes the people push more to just rides.

I’m going during the first week of April and expecting large crowds and very long wait times for all attractions because there are no fast passes. This is my last trip for a long while as my annual pass is running out in May and no way am I renewing without Fastpass, nighttime shows, normal park hours, etc. They have taken away so many things yet prices stayed as high as ever. The only extra perk we got was 30% discount on merchandise with our AP instead of the usual 20%. I don’t need merchandise. I have an AP and go all the time. The people buying up all the merchandise are the ones who go for the first time and may never go back.

I’m just going to enjoy myself and spend as much time eating and drinking. Magic Kingdom will probably be a short half day and then off to Epcot for the good stuff. Hollywood will be just to do Rise, if we can get it. It was gone within seconds when we went a few weeks ago but we did get into an afternoon boarding group. Epcot and Animal Kingdom are by far the best with the best food and drinks.

One thing I will say about the lines is that because there is no fast pass line, the one line they do have continually moves. We noticed almost all posted wait times were about 10 minutes longer than they actually were. But even with them moving, if the wait time is 45 minutes to zigzag your way around and finally to the ride, that’s 45 minutes gone from what is now a shortened day because parks close early. You don’t have time to wait that long for every single attraction. Anyone going for the first and only time will undoubtedly leave disappointed because there are going to be a LOT of things they never got to do because time just ran out.

No fastpasses is the best thing to happen to Disney in years.

$100+/day/ticket and you don't get the full experience? LOL! No thanks.

Agree the fast passes aren’t that big of a deal. People don’t realize how many folks the shows and character meets absorb at a time. We went down the week after Christmas. Only did one day at magic kingdom. Lines looked long, but most all were 10-15 minutes shorter than posted.

I really don’t think you will see fast passes come back in their current form. I think Disney will start selling them or including them with on-site stays. They will be looking to make up the money they lost this last year any way they can.

yeah. After going in the fall last year i said i wouldnt go back until it was back to normal (no mask required, meal plan, fireworks, and meet and greets are the big things for us) But here we are just March and ive already booked another trip for end of Sept again this year.

My kids literally ask to go to Disney daily and their favorite thing to do right is play "going to disney" so i couldnt help it.

That's what it's all about, really. It's not any place I'd go for an adult vacation, but my kid loves it.

A lot of folks shite on it, but my kiddo's happiness is priceless.

You're doing it right.

Understood. Mine used to be little too. I know the pressure. We used to be DVC members and went twice a year. I can't even imagine going now with no shows or fireworks and still paying those prices.
