We just got back and my 5 year old daughter is 42" and she could do everything except Space Mountain, Rockin Roller Coaster and Everest.

There are a few that children under 48" can't ride...basically, stuff with the over the shoulder harnesses. Things like Prim Evil Whirl often got overlooked but because the restraint is over the shoulder (and not a lap bar) smaller children are not allowed.

For us the highlight of the Disney Cruise was the stop at Castaway Cay (Disney's Private Island). I would doubt you'll have a stop at Castaway Cay leaving out of New Orleans. The ship itself was nice, but the pool is really small. No way to accommodate the number of kids aboard.

If you don't like lines, Disney World will be torture for you.

Don't know what to tell you.

Ha, yep. If her kids have trouble in the car and she is miserable, Disney won’t be much better. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think any parent enjoys car rides with kids or lines at Disney. It is what it is.
