Has anyone chartered a sailboat or similar in Croatia before? I’m looking into it for next summer and wanted to see if anyone had a good experience with any companies. Thanks!

No, we’re going to head that way late May to early June for about 2 weeks and thought about chartering a boat for a week of it.

Too old for yacht week at this point...

I did yacht week. If I can't do it again next year, I think I would look at chartering a catamaran for a week off the coast of France. I really want to hit Monaco, Cannes, etc.

This is the way to go IMO. The big difference is if your gonna sleep on the boat because that drastically changes the price. We stay at a hotel and rent a modest boat with a captain for the day. 7-9 hour rental, same boat captain on consecutive days.

What I’ve seen so far is around $3000 or so for 1 week with a captain on a small sailboat that sleeps 6.

If you don’t mind me asking, what was the daily cost to rent the boat each day?

I did Yacht Week Croatia in 2014. We had a small monohull that slept 6. I don't recall the pricing as all we did was party for the 10 days I was there.

Have you ever sailed before? That was my first time and it takes a little getting adjusted. A monohull that sleeps 6 is on the smaller side and its very tight quarters. Every day we would sail about 5 hours in rough waters.

Since then, I have done a Catamaran in the BVI's four times and I don't think I could ever go back to a monohull.
