Visiting in Wales next month, taking an extra 3 days to explore southwest England. Suggestions, places to stay, etc?

St. Ives in Cornwall is beautiful. Best surfing beach in England. Lands End is pretty cool to see.

Stayed in Minehead in Somerset at a friends house as a base, then drove around to estates and little villages.

Tintagel Castle is cool. The hike from Tintagel to Boscastle is beautiful and some of the best food I’ve had in the UK was a little restaurant called The Rocket Store in Boscastle. St Michael’s Mount outside of Penzance is worth the trip down. Really hard to go wrong anywhere on the coast. If you’re a hiker there are almost endless options.

If you stop in Exeter, Townhouse Exeter is a nice bed and breakfast near the train station.
