Connecting flight question

I'm flying to rapid city in October to go hunting. Currently looking at flights out of msy and I can fly into DFW with 40 min layover or ORD with 54 min.
Or I can fly out of BTR for about $100 more but stops in IAH then DEN.
Any advice?

I’d do the MSY-ORD-RAP flight. Assuming the price/times work.
I’d also look for a BTR-DFW-RAP on AA

Agreed. As much as I hate Ohare, DFW is worse especially with BTR flights come into E...

Those are ExpressJet flights in E. BTR is going to Envoy E175s in October and they won't go into Term E.

Ended up booking msy-den-rap on united. Worked out best with times and price. Thanks for the replies.
