Early June could still be some cooler temps
Will beat the summer crowds though

Have any of y’all stayed at The Bar Harbor Inn or Bar Harbor Grand Hotel? Was trying to decide between the two for our couple nights there. Both look great. One is on the water.

Cool thanks

So far our plan is to fly into Boston and drive up to the cape Elizabeth area for first night.(no hotel booked but considering higgins beach inn) Gonna check out Portland head light house and briefly the city of Portland before making our way up to bar harbor the next morning . Gonna stay at Bar harbor inn for 2 nights with our main focus on enjoying the central location of bar harbor and Acadia national park. Then we’ll drive down where I have a waterfront cottage booked in Georgetown Maine very near Reid state park. We plan to explore that area for a couple days (bath, Brunswick, booth bay harbor, wicasset). From there we will make our way down to cape cod where we are staying in a cabin that’s really close to main st Hyannis and the ferries. (5 nights there) . I like my plan so far but it’s all flexible cancellation stuff in case I need to tweak it later. I really appreciate the feedback so far.

5 nights in cape cod I assume that means trips to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket
I would take a day trip from cape cod to Newport Rhode Island or even half a day there

Hell yeah. First time to Maine for me also. Not sure I’ve ever taken a 10 day trip either. 7-8 days is usually my max. I take a lot of long weekend 3-5 day trips. Place we’re staying in Georgetown is right next door to Five Islands Lobster Pound which is supposed to be one of the best.

We leave next Wednesday, fly into Boston, be there a day and half and then head north and spend 9 days in Maine. Can't wait for the weather. Hitting Kennebunkport, Portland, Camden, Bar Harbor then going back south with a stop in Wiscasset and finally back to Boston to fly home. Flying by the seat of our pants as far as most excursions go, rooms are all booked. We are doing a private sail / lobster bake out of Camden one evening. Bought passes for Acadia and the require passes for the Cadillac Summit Road. Plan to hit Reds for sure, have some friends in Portland that will steer us in the right direction while there. Any other suggestions are welcomed , rented a jeep out of Boston on Turo.

Happy to help with the Boston portion of your trip. Weather has been nice lately so hopefully that holds up for you.

I threw the AbitaFan bat signal up in the "Definitive Boston" thread. I read you had a busy week a couple weeks back and must have missed it.

Should’ve seen it during the lsu v Georgia sec championship in 2019. Place was packed with Tiger fans and I had a spot at the bar next to Jarvis Green.
