Headed to Belmont, NC just outside of Charlotte at the end of July for a wedding. Looking some things to do in the Charlotte area as we will be there for 6 days. Breweries, restaurants and any other activities you guys can recommend is much appreciated.

Since you’ll be in Belmont, spend a day at the Whitewater Center.
Do a SouthEnd brewery crawl. Start at Olde Mecklenburg. There are 4 breweries right in a few blocks there. Then take the blue line or an Uber south towards downtown and hit some combo of Suffolk Punch, Triple C, Wooden Robot, Trolley Barn, Sycamore, and Hopfly. Tons of restaurants along the way for some food.
NoDa and Plaza Midwood also have a good concentration of breweries
Crowders Mountain State Park is nearby if you want a nice hike.
Depending on how much time you have, a day trip to Asheville is also definitely doable

Some additional thoughts:
-Charlotte Knights triple A baseball game. Cool stadium downtown.
-Rent a pontoon and spend a day on Lake Norman or Lake Wylie. Lake Wylie is closer to Belmont, Lake Norman is much bigger (and busier)
Some restaurants I like (not in any real order):
The Crunkleton
Supperland
Haberdish
Sea Level
Vana
Flourshop
Haymaker
Fin & Fino
Kindred (up in Davidson)
Peppervine
Good Food
Dilworth Tasting Room SouthPark

Believe it or not, I recommend the NASCAR hall of fame. I'm not a nascar fan at all but it's really well done. Great stories and well put together.
