I've stayed at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, which is closer to San Jose del Cabo. Fantastic experience + quick cab ride into town / Flora Farms.

We have been to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica and Secrets Puerto Los Cabos. Played golf at both, Quivera and Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club. Both golf experiences were amazing, but Secrets was a far superior resort for a similar price. The two resorts are sort of on opposite ends of the area, with Pacifica on the pacific side of Cabo San Lucas and Secrets by San Jose del Cabo. Neither had a swimmable beach, but it was a beautiful coast. The area that Secrets is in is a gated community with a couple of resorts and many massive villas built into the hill sides. You can find fishing from the docks at either town pretty easily, but the marina at Cabo San Lucas is much larger and fun town to walk for a day. There is very little chance for bad weather there, unlike the Cancun area, you will have a blast.

If you go to the docks, there are the locals who try to broker you a deal and you will see that they all have the same 5-6 boats to rent you.
Spend the money and get a legit boat. Pisces and Redrum are reliable sources. They will get you an all-in prices which includes your food, your license, bait, etc.
Arrange everything before you get there.
Plenty of options to have your fish dressed nicely when you get back to the docks.
We like Tiki Bar, they will serve it 5-6 different ways for $12 per person. We get mostly sashimi with a giant bowl of Ponzu sauce.

I've stayed at Le Blanc and Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos. Of those two I would pick Le Blanc. However, it isn't very close to the marina. Just about everything there was amazing. They have the only Lebanese restaurant in Cabo, and it was probably one of the best restaurants I have been to at an AI. They have a daily taco cart, churro cart, and ice cream cart.
Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos is next to the marina and much closer to town. It's was a little dated when we went but that was about 5 yrs ago. The food and drinks were okay, but not much to write about.
We used Fish On to go out and had a blast until I got violently ill.

It's really big and kind of a pain to get around. The golf cart system is fine as long as you don't mind waiting. Then there's the time share guys bugging you outside the Market and the lobby. I'm used to getting hit up at registration, not my entire trip.

What about restaurant recommendations and activity recommendations?

Grand Velas Los Cabos was phenomenal this past October. The food, service, pools, and views were all top notch. And I generally avoid all inclusives because I like getting off campus.

Looking at Secrets, looks like there are 3 courses in their "Puerto Los Cabos" choices. Which course did you play?
Looks like your all inclusive package transfers over to the golf course as well? Do you know if they would allow my wife to drive me around while I golf? Or would I have to pay for her tee time as well?

Speaking from other Secrets golf prices, they usually nickel and dime you for cart rental and passengers. At least that's how it was at Secrets Playa Mujeres.

They have 3 9's at puertos los cabos. Nicklaus 1 and 2 and Norman. We did Norman/Nicklaus 1. This track brings you along the beach by the resort and seems to be the most popular combo. Whether you stay at Secrets or not, the greens fee includes all the food and drink ON the course, and there is plenty of it...a station after about every 4 holes. They will charge a rider fee at these courses in cabo, think it was $50 at Quivira, not sure at PLC. And the rider has to be dressed per dress code for golfers FYI.

Riu Palace. 6 nights, 7 days. All food & drinks included at resort. Different restaurant options and buffet options. Plenty of food and drinks to choose from. Swim up bars. Booked all excursions through Cabo Adventures and everything went well! Went in December and the weather was perfect.

Anyone stayed at The Cape? Seems like a nice place with some decent pricing.

The cape is great! Has one of the best rooftop bars around.

Heading there next month. Booked it last summer while in my pool. Finally almost time to go.
Really sucks they don't open suites on points any more.
