Wasn’t bad at all

We did your plan but in reverse. Took the T up to Haymarket and started the trail at Paul Reveres house. Picked up Canoli’s from Mikes Pastry then ate at Green Dragon, drinks at bell in hand then walked the trail back to the common and then took the train back to Fenway.

Resting for a bit now then heading out for dinner. Saltie Girl was a f’ing home run!

So today we plan to take advantage of the warmer weather and walk from Fenway to the Boston Marathon memorial and finish line (Right in Hereford, Left on Boyslton). From there we will walk to and through the Boston Public Garden past the Good Will Hunting bench then over to Cheers to get my old man a t-shirt.

From there we are planning to walk up Charles Street and over to see Acorn St then take the Red Line from Charles over to Cambridge to checkout Harvard square and some of the campus.

Bostonia Public house was amazing! Pricey but good. $15 cocktails add up quickly but we really enjoyed it.

That’s an excellent plan, great path to walk. If you feel the need for a glass of wine and a snack, right before the finish line there’s an Eataly in the Prudential Center. Also a good stop if you just need a good cup of coffee.

Also, while on Charles you can go up Beacon Hill for a bit - absolutely beautiful neighborhood. For some reason, Acorn St. is the most photographed street in the country. How they came to that conclusion I’ll never know, but that’s what it’s known for.

Edit: sorry, just saw you already mentioned Acorn st! Also, John Kerry’s home is in Louisburg Square. The one with the American flag.

Bumping this thread...

I have read through this and the "definitive Boston" thread, so thanks for all of the information so far.

We have a trip planned for this summer (3 nights). Staying at the Omni Parker House (Downtown)

So far, we have the following:
- Red Sox Game (Friday Night)
- Whale Tour (Open to other boating options to site see)
- Visiting Wharf/Harbor area, Common Park

Bars
- Bell in Hand
- Bars near Fenway

Also looking for a recommendation of a unique Boston nice dinner (A la Commander's Palace in for New Orleans). Possibly thinking Y'Vonne's, but open to all and any suggestions.

I'd add at least some of the Freedom Trail to your list of things to do.

Also, the only bar near Fenway that would be worth checking out is Bleacher Bar, because you can look into the ballpark from center field. But honestly, if you're catching a game Friday night that's not really as big of a deal. Check out Green Dragon Tavern (read up on the history, it's very cool and it's right next door to Bell in Hand)

Parla has great cocktails, as does Drink.

I love Yvonnes, and it will be a great meal, but it's not the same style of "fine dining" as Commanders. If you want something like that, look at Mooncusser. But you have to eat upstairs, the downstairs is a more casual vibe. I'd also recommend Menton.

Depends on what you're looking to spend on a hotel, but I'd say something near the Boston Common or near a T stop.

I wouldn't recommend staying in Foxoboro because there's really nothing to do once the game is over.
