Good luck with that.
I figured that was wishful thinking. I was hoping someone had a secret code word to use...FML.

The only time I don't book direct is when I book with my credit card travel portals

And I'd argue you're better off transferring those points to the respective airlines/hotels than booking through the CC portal.
Only time I don't book direct (Aside from work where we have to use AmEx GBT) is when I burn my AmEx FHR credit each year.

All this to say, if you’re going international, as painful as it is, book direct.
Third parties will do all kinds of dumb shite, like book you on a Star Alliance carrier on the first leg out, and try to book you on an airline that doesn't have an interline agreement with Star Alliance on the second leg (which means you have to collect your bags and re-check them.) Or will fly you to Newark, and your next flight will be out of JFK (it's all New York, amirite?) You also get 13 hour layovers, chasing pennies.

Can you demonstrate how how to transfer Chase Sapphire or Cap 1 Venture X points to a Delta Sky Miles account?

The Miles Genie explains the three ways to book Delta flights with Chase URs.

here are three ways to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points for Delta flights
Redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points for Delta flights by booking via the Ultimate Rewards redemption portal.
You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Virgin Atlantic to book Delta flights.
You can also transfer to KLM/France to book Delta flights

Ding, ding, ding!
If it's Amex points you are transferring they sometimes have bonuses on the transfers with select airlines. I miss the days when the British Air bonus was 1:1.6.

This is one of the worst mileage programs for redemptions. You're better off transferring to Flying Blue and then booking the delta flight via KLM assuming you can find award space.

I've always used the Ultimate rewards portal but I'm almost positive you can't use KLM/France anymore and Delta does not release all seats (particularly in first) to partners like Virgin so I don't ever even shop there. I guess it doesn't hurt to glance in the future if they are having some sort of sale.

You can absolutely still transfer to Flying Blue. This is straight from the chase website.
