Booking Condo Without Tons of Fees

I used to book my Florida condos through Emerald Coast By Owner and I got some really good prices dealing directly with the owner. I have noticed recently that more and more of the units on their site are run by large rental companies who have tons of fees. Does anyone know of any other sites that you can deal directly with the owner?

A lot of them on their VRBO etc listing will have their “house name” in the description. Just google that house name with city and a lot will either have their own website you can book through or a Facebook page to contact the owner to avoid fees

I don't know of any websites that only have owners unfortunately. You just gotta avoid allowing the fees to get to you and book the best price.
A lot of other companies are trying to grab a piece now, that's part of the problem. HOA's for example are more and more charging a fee per guest that stays.

If you can find the room number do a google search for it and sometimes you can find it one a smaller website rental with less fees.
I had a condo in Colorado that I found on Airbnb. Vrbo had the same condo for $150 more. I search the unit # and found a local rental agency with the same listing for $300 less including a smaller cleaning fee.
