I’m going to be in Boise in a couple of weeks. Any good recommendations for food, drinks, cool things to do?
I plan on going up to the Sawtooth Mountains for a backpacking trip as well so any recommendations around Grandjean and Stanley would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone lives there, how is the visibility with all the smoke? I’m wondering if I’ll be able to see the stars in the backcountry.

Was in Sun Valley a few weeks ago mtn biking. It’s smoky but you could still see the stars at night. All we did was ride bikes and hang at a condo so unless you want mtn bike trails recs.......

stayed at a cabin right there on the river in town
we got there the afternoon of the 4th of July they had a parade and a street party with a band. I’m told there’s bands every week

the little town is very friendly with lots to do and lots of outfitters in the area. There’s good restaurants and great bars in town as well. the NF that surrounds it is beautiful
