Bangkok, Vietnam, or other? Looking for somewhere I can walk from hotel and have various street food to enjoy without having to take transportation all over. Read some of the Asia travel threads on here, but didn’t get good idea of what is best overall for one area. Saw they recently spread out some of the street food in Bangkok.

Singapore's hawker centers are hard to beat. Not technically on the street, but concentrated pockets of specialist eateries.

You can die fat, drunk, and rich in Vietnam on street food. Old Quarter in Hanoi or the central districts in Saigon. You will literally be tripping over the food.

Lau Pa Sat is by far the best answer, bar none.

Sounds like Bangkok is making moves on street vendors in Chinatown soon.

Hopefully that just means they are moved around a bit and not totally wiped.

They did this shite to Sukhumvit right before I went the first time.

Any of the night markets in Taipei are fantastic for street food and people watching.
