My cousin invited me to a bachelor party trip in Memphis. Any recommendations? It will be my first time there.

Memphis? I know you don't have a choice, it's not your party, but do not stray from well traveled and well lit streets. It's not New Orleans, but it's not great, either. Rental cars will cost you a crap ton of money, if they're still adding the airport construction recovery fee to your bill (think more than 20% of the actual rental fee).

Distillery/brewery tours maybe?

Flying out can be painful when you see a bunch of bald kids that just wrapped up a course of treatment at St. Jude going through security with you to get home.

memphis is fun in short doses
what time of year?

downtown you can stay at the Peabody and be walking distance to the rendezvous, a redbirds game, and plenty of bars and other stuff. Beale St is overrated but worth it for one trip.

Graceland is a lot of fun if you’ve never been.

I’ll be up there mid april for a show in Southaven MS and we plan to spend an extra night in memphis

The rooftop bar at the Memphian (Cooper Young area) is cool. Tiger and Peacock. Only had drinks, not food so can’t comment on that. You have to have reservations to go to the rooftop. We stayed there last weekend. It’s a cool hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay. Several bars nearby. Safer than downtown. Porch and Parlor is a great restaurant next door

ETA: loflin yard and Carolina watershed are unique places to check out
