Looking for a good place to rent a cabin/cottage/house, that would be on a shallow type river. I know there are some real clear ones in Southwestern Mo/Arky border.
Looking to relax, put chairs in the river and fish, while wives do their thing.
A city with places to visit or eat within 30mins would be nice.
I believe the White River has some of that stuff???

Check out the White Buffalo Resort in Buffalo City, AR.
The White River and Buffalo River intersect there.

Van Buren, MO
Not too far south of you. Decent food on site.
Poplar Bluff is about 40 minutes away & is a semi modern city with the regular ol' generic American shopping & eating stuff. A few local owned food & beer places I could steer you to.

Is Jack's still around on the White? Used to go every summer with my parents and some folks.
