We did a 4runner on and off road trip end of April, silver city NM - douglas AZ- Bisbee - Tombstone - Sedona - Globe - Show Low - Flagstaff - Williams - Prescott Valley - Payson- back to show low - Alpine - gila wilderness - home
Highlights were the elevated forests that were pretty cool. Williams is a route 66 tourist town, Loved the Mogollon Rim area, we like to back road it. If you get to Prescott, Watson lake is incredible, its like a miniature Alstrom Point. Ruger is also there. Bisbee was also cool to check out downtown out but it's also overrun with hippies. Globe was pretty scenic as was lots of the Reservation Southeast of Show Low. Pretty lakes through the area.

Thinking 3-4 days
That’s not much time; from Vegas about all you can see is Valley of Fire SP & Zion. Or maybe the GC & Page, AZ.
We just got back from there but we stayed in hotels. We were there 2 weeks.
A few years ago some friends of ours, who had no RV experience, rented one in LV and retuned it there. They were there 3 weeks and went to the GC, Page, Lake Powell, Kodachrome SP, Bryce & Zion. They camped places w/o electricity but they were there in May.

Time for a thread bump. After much deliberation, we decided on 1 night at Bryce, 2 at Zion, and 1 at Valley of Fire. Before our 7 pm flight. So we will have a decent amount of time for our last day there.
We reserved a Sprinter van with shower, bed, stove, and decent off road package. Campgrounds reserved at BC and Zion. So we’re pretty much all set with that.
I guess what I need now is favorite parts of those parks (I have of course looked this up on my own, just wondering what others have done), other cool things to see off of Vegas > Bryce route, and maybe a place for anniversary dinner between BC and Zion (not expecting fine dining, just a break from basic camping food).
Thanks everyone for the input thus far.

other cool things to see off of Vegas > Bryce route,
Don't know what route you're taking from Vegas to Bryce but this is one option.
[/img] North of St. George about 33 miles is the Kolob Canyon Visitor Center; it's at the entrance to Kolob Canyon Road which is about 5 miles long. There are some great views and at the end is a parking lot w/ a trail to the Timber Creek Overlook. It's part of Zion.
North of there exit the interstate at Cedar City and take Hwy 14 toward Cedar Breaks National Monument. From there you have a couple of options to continue on to Bryce. You will see a lot of lava in that area.
At Bryce walk down into the amphitheater and walk among the Hoodoos. We walked down the Two Bridges trail and back up the Navajo Trail through Wall Street. Do a sunset and a sunrise at Bryce Point or one of the other spots. We were going to go to a ranger talk at night about the stars but they only had openings at around 11:00 and that's was too late for us.
In Springdale we ate at the Bit & Spur Restaurant & Saloon and the Switchback Grille. They are across Hwy 9 from each other. Both were good but we all got some type of fish at Switchback and should have gotten steak.
In Bryce there are not many options but the ladies both got the grilled shrimp at Ruby's Inn Cowboy's Buffet and Steak Room (the one that's part of the general store) and they were very good. The 2nd night we took in the county music show and bbq dinner at Ebenezer's Bar and Grill. The house band sang a sampling of county songs through the decades from Hank Williams Sr. to Luke Bryant.
When you leave Bryce and go to Zion I would go through Mt. Carmel and enter Zion from the east. But you have to go through the tunnel and there may be restrictions depending on the size of your camper.

This is a link to the trip report I did. There are some pictures of Zion and Bryce.

We just drove through the Valley of Fire, south to north, on the way to Zion from Vegas. We saw these guys there on the side of the road. A friend was in St. George in May and they rented an off road vehicle and had a blast somewhere in that area. I'll try and find out where they were.
