Are any of Florida's beaches east of Destin worth driving to?

The two things I like most in a beach is clean, blue water and nice sand. I rarely go to gulf shores because the extra hour drive is easily worth the nicer beaches in Destin.
Are there any other beaches in West Florida that are comparable or better than Destin that would warrant a longer drive?(coming from texas)

Panama City Beach can be far less expensive; plus, there is St. Andrews State Park.
Try Joni's Beach Rentals, if you are frugal, & maybe stay an extra day, or 3, with the money you save, & to justify the longer drive...

Jesus, yes. Anywhere on 30A is 10X better than Destin.
Once you get down to Apalachicola, you're getting diminishing returns on pristine white sand.
The problem with the Panhandle (and "pristine" beaches in general) is that they can easily be shite due to junegrass and other natural phenomenon.

Loved the fact that the only chain type business was a Subway in the gas station. Laid back, quiet town. Just don't tell everyone!!

Is this a family vacation? Kids? We've stayed at the Latitude 29 condos before. A few times. They are not a highrise, and the pool is big enough for whoever will be there. Plus you are 3-4 steps up to the beach from the pool. Always nice and relaxing. And it is on the west end of PCB, so not that much further than Destin. There's a Winn-Dixie about a mile away to stock the fridge. I think most of the units have a King bed, two bunks in the hall, and a sleeper sofa. We've been down there with our two kids plus my brother in and mother in law and had plenty of room to sleep. Get a poolside unit if you can. Walk right from your balcony to the pool. If you go after school starts, the rates are very cheap.

Yes, family vacation, with children; although we've stayed many times w/o children, & while making them.
Like the West Beach, but the East Beach is convenient to St. Andrews State Park.

Topsail state park just east of Destin.
Three miles of undeveloped beaches. It's the best!
