Arches is not really just off the road so to say. I think its like 45-60 mins from the interstate?

But even with a 2 year old, yes I'd go. The windows I mentioned above there are like 6-8 giant arches 100 yards in 3 different spots from parking.

But yeah, overall yes I'd suggest going. If you have a 2 year old you may consider some sort of backpack device or just put them on your shoulders.

Sorry to hi-jack, but is Arches worth it if you're just driving through and don't plan on hiking?

short answer, yes. You can still see some cool sites you’d never get to see here. A 2 year old would love sand dune arch and it’s close to a parking area.

We got to Bryce in the afternoon and ended up staying way past nightfall (in winter). The views of the milky way were just as amazing as the park.

I cannot take credit for this tip. Someone else mentioned it previously.

Wanted to say thanks for all the advice on the Utah trip. It's hard to come back to reality. I think we just repeated "Wow" every other word for a week. Thanks TB!

Just got back from Zion last night. Spent the weekend there and did Angel's, Narrows and a couple of others. Really special scenery there.

Your pictures are remarkable....can you identify each of your pictures and where/what each is? That suspended/cable bridge gives me anxiety just looking at it

Pool pic is Amangiri outside Page, Az. The most relaxing and nicest place I’ve stayed. The second is at Open Sky, about 15 minutes from Zion Gate.

When we drove by Zion Sunday I laughed at the "glamping" setup....it seems that entire area is under construction to cash in on the Zion experience....albeit 15-20 minutes away.

I'll pass....my hotel room at the Majestic View Lodge was just fine.. The hiking was "roughing" it enough for me.

I don’t think you can wrong out there. Any hotel in Springdale would be just fine. Our “Glamping” was very good experience, great privacy, about 10 minutes off main road already 15 minutes from the gate. Off the path. Very private. Open Sky

I misunderstood....i thought these were the ones that were set up right off of HWY 9 near the Zion Helicopter Adventures place.....didn't realize your place was 10 minutes off the main road.....which would make it more secluded.

The ones right off of the main road seemed like they were 30ft apart from one another.
