Found a flight out of ATL to Cairo for $590. The wife is really wanting to go.
We are looking at doing 5 days on land around Cairo/Giza/pyramids and a 5 night Nile River Cruise with Aggressor Adventures.
Any suggestions?

I went August 2017. I did Cairo/Pyramids on day 1, flew to Aswan day 2, went to abu simbel day 3, took a car to Luxor day 4 and stopped at Kom Ombo, Edfu, and Esna temples. Then spent about 4 days in Luxor for Valley of the Kings, day trip to Dendera and Abydos, Luxor and Karnak Temple. I had to make the most of my time.
All those sites were cool as frick, bit I highly recommend Abu Simbel and Dendera/Abydos. Furthermore, Egypt was my 50th country, and I went in thinking I would be blasé about the pyramids but I was still pretty blown away.
Regarding general advice, expect very aggressive and persistent people trying to sell you literally anything. It’s probably gotten even worse due to them just now opening again. And tipping is ingrained into the culture. Someone pressing an elevator button for you can elicit a tip request.
