Anyone Ever Use Turo Car Rental For A Trip To Kauai?

No Jeep or large SUV vehicles available through the normal rental places.

Try and find a local car rental place. We did that last summer on Maui and it was half the price.

Check autoslash.com. They'll use all your available discounts through credit cards, Costco, AAA etc and find the best price and then will track your current rental and you can cancel/rebook if needed. There are many local companies as mentioned above as well that are reliable, but the time we went Autoslash ended up finding a significantly better price a week or two before our trip at one of the big companies.

My issue with Turo is there seems to be like a 50% cancelation rate by the owner. If they do that to you close to arrival, you're going to be screwed. I always just bite the bullet and get a Jeep through Avis at LIH

Used them Oahu, person met me in front of my hotel I inspected the car and took pictures. We spoke and then they left. They Met me back at my hotel and they looked over the car and then rated in front of me.
Easy process

There's another Avis location at the Grand Hyatt.
However, then you have to figure out how to get to/from the airport which may negate any savings.

Never used it in Kauai, but we used it in Alaska and it was a great experience.
