Taking my fiance' for her bday in a couple months and looking for recs. From the research ive done Grand Velas boutique and Le Blanc are the 2 go-to's for all inclusive. Le Blanc seems to have the best service with Grand Velas having the best food. For Grand Velas we would stay at the boutique portion to avoid the kids and probably walk over to GV for the dining options.
Are there any others i should be looking at? It dosent have to be AI but would prefer no kids. I looked into the higher end stuff like Waldorf, Montage, etc. but just cant bring myself to spend that kind of money for a resort. We just spent 16 days in Spain for the price of some of these places
For reference we're both mid 30s, no kids. Have been to 2 other AI's, Atelier in Playa Mujeres twice (favorite spot and felt like it set a high standard), and Excellence El Carmen in DR (werent very impressed after experiencing Atelier). We prefer a relaxing/laid back atmosphere but also like a decent after dinner night life option (after hours bar/music/dj/beach party) which our past resorts all had.

I’ll be going to GV boutique in April. I have not been to that resort but it comes highly recommended. I was a little hesitant to go with an AI at first but the food and drinks seem top notch.
I was in the same boat as you. We looked at Waldorf and las ventanas but I just could not stomach drinking $50 margaritas everyday.

Le Blanc is a great all inclusive but the Hilton is one of the best overall but costly. Whatever you do make it a point to visit downtown San Jose Del Cabo.

Le Blanc is where you need to stay
But look into Viceroy and The Cape

We stayed at Le Blanc a few years ago, and it was really good. However, between those two, I would choose Grand Velas, even though I haven’t stayed at that particular GV resort. I have been to the GV in PV and Cancun, and both remain among the best all-inclusive resorts I have experienced.
Le Blanc had more of an adult party vibe when we visited. At the time, it featured Mezze Restaurant, which was the only Lebanese restaurant in CS. It was excellent. They also had daily churro and taco carts by the pool, which were a great touch.

My advice on Cabo is always to leave the resort. I am partial to San Jose, but both Cabo and San Jose have great restaurants and other things to see and do. Good luck.
