Making a trip come to Alaska - Kenai Peninsula area. The places we plan on visiting are:
Anchorage - flying in, probably spending last night before returning flight)
Cooper Landing - stopping on way to Homer
Homer - Halibut fishing
Seward - river rafting??
Palmer- glacier landing flight
Does anyone have any recommendations of things to do in these areas?

Homer spit is pretty cool place to hangout for a few hours.
You should also go Salmon fishing on the Kenai. I stayed in Soldotna which is on the way to Homer.
Near Seward is Kenai Fjords national park. There is a pretty good hike to the glacier.
Watch out for moose if driving at night.

When are you planning on going? I just got back from driving all over the Kenai Peninsula and everything is starting to close up shop for the winter. Seward was starting to look like a ghost town
Homer is really cool spot got hammered at the Salty Dog
The views on the drive leaving Anchorage are amazing

Definitely book a river salmon fishing trip on the Kenai or Kasilof river. It should be during the king salmon run in June. Look into Kasilof Kings Cabins for a night or two.
While in Seward, book an excursion or two through Miller's Landing. You already have a halibut trip planned in Homer, but Miller's offers kayak day trips using their bigger boats as mother ships to take you to secluded coves in the bay.

16 minutes from Palmer is Wasilla, I highly recommend checking out the Iditarod Museum/Headquarters.
The day we went which was in June, we happened to visit on the first day that people could register for that years Iditarod. MAN, the stories that I got to hear that day was amazing.

The annual mushers banquet is a blast, usually held at the Sullivan in Anchorage.
I was a handler for a guy named Bob Morgan a couple decades ago. Any events at the center off Knick Rd in Wasilla is a blast though. You meet the most interesting people.

Halibut Cove is a cool spot to spend an afternoon/evening. The Saltry is a very good place to eat right on the water. It is directly across Kachemak Bay from the Homer Spit you can only get there via boat (water taxi is available).
I have an Uncle who lives in Homer and has a cabin on Peterson Bay (right next to Halibut Cove) when accessible - can only get to it by boat, and it's not available in the winter). Beautiful country there. Chocolate Drop Mountain is beautiful from the water.
