This first… but then leave disappointed. There’s gonna be a line of taxis waiting to take you to the Palomino
I’ve been to Vegas quite a few times. I’m not sure there’s truly many “must do’s”. Go to a great dinner and see a show. Probably booked up now, but Prime Steakhouse with fountain views followed by O show is cool at Bellagio.
Hoover Dam is cool to see in person if you’ve never been before. But that’s a one time thing.
ETA: Ohhh… Din Tai Fung at Aria. Taiwanese place. You won’t be disappointed. They take walks ups even when fully booked up. Order bunch of dishes for the table. It’s great. Xiao long bao, fried pork chops, noodles, dumplings, it’s really really good …

I’m not going but if I was going the show I would see is The Killers at The Colosseum at Ceaser’s. I bet in LV they put on quite a show.

Lago was good. You have to reserve the tables that have the fountain views and that costs $$. Somehow we got sat out there anyway. It was a cool experience. Food was good. Nothing spectacular. But that was kinda par for the course in Vegas.

Absinthe if you enjoy crude humor and an intimate environment

Well august isn’t as fun doing outside attractions since it will be 109*. Freemont st is a must especially at night . Also depends where you are staying because a lot of resorts have nice pools . Restaurants really anywhere I never had a bad meal in Vegas .

the discoshow concept looks awesome also. the first show is in a few nights so we wont get any reviews until then. but basically it is going to be like a disco era party with a absinthe like show going on with lots of crowd involvement. not sure what to think but I would have liked to have partied in the disco era and this will be as close as it gets I guess.

Maybe I was just really drunk and starving, but the Chicken Tinga nachos at Nacho Daddy were the best nacho's I've ever had.
I tried to hit all the Gordon Ramsay restaurants when I went (big fan of all his shows). IMO, the steakhouse wasn't worth the price tag. I think there are other better ones out there. His fish and chips is a quick service place and I thought it was great for what it was. Hell's Kitchen was good (probably my favorite of his restaurants). I got the lobster risotto there. The burger place was just alright. The fries were my favorite part.
We ate at Buddy V's for lunch one day. We were starving and didn't want to wait anywhere and it was in our resort (Venetian) and wasn't busy. It was surprisingly excellent.
We went in April 2021 so a lot of shows were still down due to Covid. We went and saw the Jabbawockeez and it was really cool. That was about the only show available at the time. I didn't have high expectations but ended up really enjoying it.
