We did this exact package 2 years ago and it was fantastic. Through gate1 travel. It includes flights and a hotel. We used Montecatini as a base and stayed there night 1, then went to Venice for a night and Florence for 2. Thinking about booking again and doing Rome and the coast this time. Comes with a car too, but I would advise against it. Tolls cost as much as the train does, except you can ride the train drunk.

Grab it. I just got back from Tuscany and Venice in April and I paid much more than this just for airfare. It was a fantastic trip.

It even allowed me to pick Delta out of New Orleans for only a few bucks more. Great idea.

Just got back from the same trip
I totally disagree with having a car
It’s WAY BETTER
You are on your own schedule. Dont Have to haul your bags around a train station
You have an automatic locker for your bags
I probably spent a total of 35 bucks on tolls in 2 weeks

I spent that JUST getting to Montecatini. I only carry a backpack, and I could drop it off at the hotels I was staying at the go out, so it wasnt a hassle to me at all. To each their own I guess, but gas and tolls, it was much easier to just hop a train that comes every 30 min

Very much so interested in this.
Is it really do-able? Legit?
I've spoke to Coon who posted the other day on this same trip.... but is it possible to do Rome? I'd like to do Rome if I'm going all the way to Italy.
Someone setup a possible trip idea that could work and literary. I have no experience with Italy and traveling overseas.

You could do Rome, just have to plan it right.
I looked at the fine print and didn’t see anything that looked fishy.
If I were doing this trip and including Rome, I’d skip the car and just use the train the whole time. Driving around Italy was fun but this could be a tight trip.
My questions would me:
Can I not get the car?
Do I have to check into the hotel by a certain day (or at all)?
If I don’t use the car or hotel, are there any penalties?

Is it just me, or does their logo look like they're a local news affiliate?

You could absolutely do Rome, and is why I am thinking about booking this again because we did not get to hit it last time. This is a steal of a trip, and even better because nothing is planned for you.
Yes, you cannot get the car. My boss went 3 weeks after me and I told her screw the car and she said it was the best thing that she did the whole time ditching the car. I am not sure about checking it. We used Montecatini as a base and stayed there night one. Night two we were in Venice, 3 and 4 Florence, 5 back to Montecatini and 6 we were in Milan.
This ends today. Let me know if you need to know anything else. Gate1 is legit. Last time it was Emirates we flew. Looks like this time it is Delta (atleast out of Atl and NY)

First day, get off plane. Go to montecatini and drop your shite off, get on a train to Rome, stay there for 3 days, then go to Florence for 3. Thats what I am thinking. I LOVED Florence and would love to get back. Maybe 4 in Rome and 2 in Florence.
Hell....Using this for flights alone is close to worth it.

Its a great deal, but the flights are out of NYC right? So how much does it add to fly out of say NOLA?
It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to book a flight to Milan if you want to go to Rome. Especially in November or off peak time. There's a good chance you can find some very good deals straight to Rome.
Heck, Gate1 may have a great deal that includes hotels in Rome.
ETA: Looked it up and out of Nola it added $115 per ticket to the price. So total for 2 people is:
Total Price: 1,428.00
Very solid deal considering all you need is food and you gotta eat anywhere.

Europe for 8 days for $3k (conservatively with food, tours, train tickets, and other incidentals). Yet some adults would rather spend more than this and go to Disney.
SMH
My parents took me and my sister to Europe twice growing up. I’ve always imagined that I wouldn’t be able to do the same for my kids because looking at regular plane ticket prices, it would cost $10k for everything. I definitely plan on doing something like this with them. Multiple times.
