Has anyone read when Biden will go back to the 3 day testing or do away with testing completely to enter the US after traveling international?

Probably never. Honestly though I wouldn't count on it any time soon. I couldn't find any news either other than pure speculation. In that vein, if I had to guess, I'm thinking in the summer around July/August.

Yeah, me either. I am flying to Canada in April and the 1 day test to get back into the US is a real pain, not even considering if you have a delayed flight.

The test must be administered the day before your flight. Not within 24 hours of your actual flight time. As long as your flight doesn’t get delayed until the next day forcing you to leave the airport, you should be fine.

They make tests you can purchase that are self-administered that work for entry in US. You still have to shell out the cash for them but it eliminates the need to find a clinic or service.

We used them successfully on an international trip a few months back.

I agree. I’m ready for it to end soon also. I have an int trip the end of the month and was hoping at least the mask would be lifted…..

Which company did you use for the self administered testing and how was the process? Tia

I found a clinic that does them with same day results, but it really adds up if you take multiple trips. I would also like to know what self administered test you used. Canada is finally opening up and cases have dropped dramatically, there is no reason to still require a 24 hour test to come back to the US.

BinaxNOW, NAVICA & United: Book Your Travel Now

This worked back in November which was prior to last variant. Haven’t checked to see if they still work. You might want to research before purchasing.

Process was easy. You need to have a laptop with working camera. I guess a phone might work but we had a laptop. Contact one of their reps and they watch you give your self the test and wait for results. Once you show a negative test, they send an email with results. We did it the day of our flight in our hotel room.

Yea BinaxNow has worked well for me. Used it when coming back from Iceland in July and also coming back from Ukraine in November. It's a little more convenient to have a laptop to do the video chat, but you can do it using only your phone.

I would also recommend to bring at least 1 additional test kit with you on the trip. I had a defective test kit back on my November trip and had to test again. Luckily I brought a spare for such a scenario.

Also, make sure you purchase them from the Emed website. The tests are essentially the exact same at home test kits they sell at pharmacies, but only the ones purchased from the Emed site include the video chat monitoring. And the monitoring is required for you to have an "official" result that the airline will accept.

Just returned from Aruba. Got the test locally, the day before our flight. We were emailed the test results. Got to the airport with it out and ready for whoever asked. No one ever did. Just had to sign something attested that we were tested and resulted as negative.

Wow! That's a big change from my last 2 international trips. Felt like they checked my test results about a dozen different times before they would let me on the plane.

I was surprised too. Only place on the island that "mandated" wearing a mask, is the airport......Nobody wore one until approaching US Customs, then were told to take them off!

They need to have someone do a political poll on this before the Dems will decide to remove the restriction.

The Political Science needs to change.
The science about this being bullshite has been established for a long time.
We all know it's not about the real "science".

At-home tests eligible for submission

Just came across this article today and figured I’d update those interested. It appears the monitored self-tests are still valid for reentry into the US. Article does a good job describing the procedure and products.

I’ll be bringing a few with us to France next week.

I'm headed to Long Island, Bahamas in a few days and the eMed kits are what I'm bringing for returning. Eliminates the need to find a clinic and hope they get results to you in time.
