Broadmoor or Garden of the Gods Resort? Looking to hang out, some hiking, mostly get out the heat a bit.

We were in CS last Thursday and Friday. We did Garden of The Gods from 8am till 11:30 and it was pretty hot as the time went on. Still worth it but it got up to about 95 I think by 1pm. Great for hiking, but not great for beating the heat if that is your objective. I'd look for somewhere with more elevation those days to hike out of the heat.
We drove around The Broadmoor while on our way up to the zoo. It was a few degrees cooler up at the zoo, but still very hot that afternoon.
It was still way more bearable than the same heat here.

Bad Daddy's Burger Bar is a great sports bar; highly recommend getting the onion rings. You can thank me later.

The broadmoor is a first class resort. I would highly recommend it for anyone. Make sure you get dinner reservations and pool reservations. The golf is also incredible.

I love Colorado Springs a lot but I can tell you one thing NOT to do...don’t eat at the restaurant that is in an airplane. The food is so so at best and it’s hot as hell !!!!!

I had a great meal at Paravicini's Italian Bistro and would recommend it.
For local hikes, the 7 Bridges trail to Loud's Cabin was enjoyable. I went during snowfall so there was barely anyone but it may be packed during the summer.
You can also get a great view of the city from here.

The Garden of the Gods resort is awesome. The view from your room and from the infinity pool is amazing! My best friend - a travel writer - is there now.
