I already scratched off Pisa and Venice. I don’t want to visit a place just for a picture.

I'm just saying if you go to Cinque Terre by train from Florence, you have to swap trains in Pisa. So you will have anywhere from 15-60 mins delay there. If you have the longer delay, take the 2 min cab ride to the tower, spend 20 mins there and head back to the train.

IMHO, unless you have a night flight out of Rome, you are flirting with disaster to train it up from Naples the morning of flight to catch a mid-day or afternoon flight. If you have a night flight, you may be able to do something in Naples like the Archeological Museum in the morning and catch the Frecciarossa around 2 and still make your night flight.

I always planned on training back to Rome the night before my flight.

I’m debating whether or not to spend a fifth day in the south or take a final easy day in Rome.

Having been to all of your proposed sites, I’d take another day in Rome, easily. The south is great—but Naples is decidedly NOT everyone’s cup of tea....and Amalfi Coast is scenic, picturesque, but ultimately not jam packed with things to do. (Though it can be jam packed with Italians, depending on the season.). Rome, on the other hand....I can always find something new to see, even after many visits. Use the final two days to wander, or to dig deeper into ancient history—you could go out to see the tombs on the Via Sacra, or go to the top of the Janiculum hill (by foot or by public bus), or track down all of the Michelangelo paintings, or play “find the relics of your favorite saint” scattered among various churches, or bakery-hop, tasting as many different pizza bianca samples or brutti ma buoni cookies as you can find. Or spend the extra time shopping for food souvenirs at Castroni, Volpi, or other food stores....

Airbnb in trastevere

I've thought about doing this in November. How far away is the main sites for walking. I prefer to walk as much as possible when I do a city stay

Trastevere is well located for the person who likes to walk. It’s across the Tiber from the centro storico (historic center), with decent bus service for those times when you’re too tired to walk home or want to save your energy. It has more actual residents than the areas around Piazza Navona, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps.
