I have a dash cam and luckily no worthy footage yet. My only issue is that it rewrites itself every 10 mins. Unless you save it in that time span, it gets looped over. I made my wife aware if this in her car but i highly doubt that she will even mess with the dash cam if anything happens and the footage will be lost.

How hard is it to hide the wire?

I have mine right up around my rear view mirror. The cable just goes right into the head liner, nothing to do but kinda jam it in there. It goes over to the a-pillar and gets poked into that little part between the pillar and the windshield. Still very easy. Then I poked it where the dash is and into the rubber part that seals the door (on the inside) and in to the fuse box where I found a always on fuse and tapped into it. The only place you can see a wire is maybe 4" going straight down into the camera from the headliner and that's mostly obscured by the rearview mirror.

My camera has a setting to turn it off after 6 hrs of the car being off. It goes into time lapse when parked.

Just look up on youtube on how to route the camera wire and you'll see a pretty good idea of what to do. On a 2014 Honda Accord, it's easy.

I have been wanting one. Are you happy with it? Or would recommend a different one? How do you have it mounted?
