Anybody have any experience with these Sets. It's a birthday present for my 17 year old daughter. I'm not paying a car payment for an Apple. Dont know anything about these Chinese companies.

I would check and see what LTE bands they have and check that against what band your service provider uses. Those Chinese phones like the Xiaomi don't always all the LTE bands that the US carriers use. That means cell service could be poorer depending on what LTE bands your provider uses in your area.

Xiaomi looks like it's missing a lot of US LTE bands.

Blu looks like it supports most everything but the newest T-Mobile Band 71.

Other phones to consider are the US versions of the Moto G6 and G7 phones. Each G6 and G7 have a couple of different versions hitting different price points and spec points. The X4 is also a great phone. Amazon had the version with Alexa for $120 for several weeks but it looks like you missed that by a couple of days. The nice thing about the Moto phones is that they support all 4 US carriers if you get the US versions. Don't get any of them if they say intentional version.

I've bought my lady 2 Blu phones. She didn't want a very expensive phone. 1st one she had for 3 years and was a great phone. Multiple drops, finally broke screen on a drop and it landed on a rock. She's in 1 1/2 years on her second one and it's going like a champ. Cool think about the Blu phones is they come with multiple cases and also comes with a screen protector. I think hers is the Blu Vivo XL+? LINK
