I have Android for personal and Apple for work.
I like Android better.
Work phone won't let me join the family group albums.
That's about it.
Apple makes you use that stupid itunes platform for stuff, and I find it all but impossible to transfer files to/from the phone.
I spend days trying to move pictures from my wife's phone to the computer hard drives.
It's hard to update my music files to the point where I don't even bother.
My vote is to stay with Android.

iPhones are simple to use. When you have other apple products, transferring photos and files between devices is a breeze with airdrop. My experience with iPhone is that you can use them for a very long time-they hold up well.

OK now what if I wanna download a lecture/book/speech off a website and then move it to a folder containing only that type of file on my iPhone hard drive so that it isn't mixed in with my music because I would like to use a separate app for lectures that saves my spot which isn't needed for music?

one of my main gripes with my MacBook Pro. I don't want some audio files in music.

yeah, that aggravates me too. I never looked if there's a workaround.
