Looking for a recommendation for a smart watch for my wife. She has an LG G7, so Android based. I've read that Samsung watches disable some features for non-Samsung phones. Is this true?

Does anyone have the 4th generation Fossil watch? What about the Michael Kors watches? See lots of them on Amazon.

My wife really likes her Fitbit watches. i just got her the Versa. She did have the Ionic. Ionic has built in GPS(only difference).

Its very user friendly and a good intro to smart watches

The Fossil and Michael Kors are nice. I work with a lot of women who wear them. I have a previous generation fossil (sport), and it is just as good as my Huawei.

The newest Fossil (is that gen 4?) watches have the brand new chip, so I would suggest those.

Fossil makes the MK normal watches, not sure if they are making the smart watches also.

What are you/she looking to get from watch?

I got mine a ticwatch c2 (rose gold which is the smaller version).

I think it looks nice but I can't really speak to its performance because it hasn't come in yet. I do know it's running the old 2100 chip but every watch is running that chip except the new fossil sport and the $1k Mont Blanc.

I was intrigued by the Fossil Sport but I dont really consider it a business looking watch, even if you were to church up the band.

No I don't think so. I believe the Gen4 and Fossil Sport are completely different watches, and only the sport has the 3100 chip.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

All she said was a watch that syncs to her phone. She's not as much of a techie as I am. She's not a fitness person, so workout features would not be a high priority. I would say being able receive notifications from her phone, reply to texts, that sort of thing would be highest priority. She tends to leave her phone in a different room than she is in around the house, so wifi might be an important feature.
