Wireless External Hard Drive

I’m wanting a better way to dump family photos off of iphones. I currently have a WD 1TB, but it’s a pain in the arse process. Also, for some reason, some photos have been corrupted transferring over. I’m just looking for an easier more streamline way of dumping photos.

quick and dirty - Many wireless access points have a USB port you can plug in an external drive into and share out, granted they generally have little to no access controls but it would put a network drive on the network. I'm guessing via SMB/CIFS (maybe NFS3?) can Apple talk SMB/CIFS? I saw options on a Nighthawk router I was setting up.

A Wireless external hard drive setup will in no way help this, and it will probably make it worse.
If you have to use the network, use a wired one and use a computer wired to the network. Sync your photos to your computer via iTunes.
I would say stay with a USB external hard drive, or eSATA if your computer has the port.

Any aversion to Google Photos? Automatic cloud upload and easy to download onto a HD at a later date, if need be.
