Saw a snippet yesterday about the stores almost being ready to sell. Anyone know of a date? Been waiting so I can walk in to try them out and buy there

Apple isn't just going to come in and take over the streaming music industry. If their service can provide something that the others don't then maybe but Spotify, Google Play All Access, Rdio, etc. aren't going away any time soon. They're putting together the ultimate streaming service for the worst streaming box?

Thanks for the review on your experience so far Scoop. My watch will be delivered in about a week and a half. I have no idea if I'll keep it or use it enough to justify the cost but we'll see.

My use case tonight was my daughter's soft ball game. I answered one call and did several text messages. The voice to text on the watch is somehow far superior to the iPhone. I intentionally spoke with my normal voice rather than over-pronounce every word and it nailed everything much better than my phone would have. The only phone call was met by surprise that I had the conversation on my watch.

I'm about a month in now and I'm using the phone function more than I ever thought I would. It's very handy in the car while driving as your wrist is already high up on the steering wheel and close to your mouth. I've never had a single complaint about voice quality.

Also using Apple Pay is such a snap. Double click, hold watch to terminal and that's it.

highly debatable. I've seen some reviews of the Fire TV that say it's not as fast as the 3 year old Apple TV.

yep, texting, playing music and calling people is a breeze..no need to even take your hand off the steering wheel.

All of this stuff is debatable but yeah that was just my opinion. When I was able to Airplay to the Fire TV that took away my last reason to use an Apple TV. Not all but most people that I talk to or see online have the Apple TV in last place.

Put your charger in a prominent place and get used to taking your watch off when you get home each day.

My wife hates when I stare at my phone or watch so I don't mind being unplugged most evenings.

First work day of full use. I just got home with the battery at 72%. That is outstanding.

As I admitted, I bought one cause I wanted one and wasn't sure how much I would actually use it but I have to say I'm gonna used it much more than I thought. Viewing and handling messages and notifications on the fly is better than getting out the phone to see if it is important.

Something else than can't be oversold is being able to see messages discreetly when you are in a situation where it would be inappropriate to go fiddling with your phone.

I love it.

The way it works without having to be set up that way is great. If your phone is asleep, anything incoming just goes quietly to your watch and gives you a little nudge. Your phone never even wakes up, though what came through will show when you wake it up. If your phone is awake and you are on it, it comes to your phone in a normal fashion and doesn't disturb the watch.

That's great. I'm glad you enjoy it. I was recently upgraded at work to a current Galaxy Tab running Kit Kat and was surprised how nice it is. Having said that, now that the Apple Watches are trickling out for those that didn't order in the first few minutes, I'd hope that we could use this thread as a place for Apple enthusiasts that are receiving them to share their thoughts and impressions and not have it intruded upon by rabble rousers seeking to induce pointless sparring. I am most pleased that you are happy with your allocation of resources with regards to your technology expenditures. At the end of the day, all that matters is that we enjoy what we have chosen to purchase and feel that it has enhanced our lives.

Scoop, I look forward to sharing my experience with the Apple Watch with you.

I initially wanted something to track my jogs, but I am looking forward to the notification aspect of it

Yeah, Chicken, my first day out with it I found that a lot of the stuff I loved about it were things I've not seen mentioned anywhere. I honestly didn't think it was going to be a big deal for me but it kinda is. It's one of those things that's gonna be different for everyone but I don't think anyone that pulled the trigger is going to regret it.

How long does it take to fully charge? Could it track your sleeping patterns if you wanted it to?

The smart watch universe is still pretty small so I am hanging out in this thread to see what's different between the Android and apple watches. They do mostly the same things and I would think you could benefit from things android users have learned and vice versa.

It can't as it comes. And I don't think there's a third party app out yet to do that.

It takes a few hours to recharge.

Got mine yesterday. Already using it for email and messages frequently. I found that the watch voice recognition is superior to the iPhone. I was speaking to the watch normally and it picked up every word.

Used apple pay twice (Whole Foods and Walgreen's) with ease and enjoyed never pulling out my wallet.

Spent a good deal of time customizing the settings. Still not sure which face will be my standard.

The watch feels light on my wrist (42mm SS with Milanese loop) and stays in place well.

Setup the watch to control my Apple TV. Enjoyed not having to use the remote.

Today I will put the battery to the test and report back.

The 42mm is the larger version isn't it? Did you compare it to the smaller one to see if there's a noticeable enough difference? I was gonna go with the smaller to start, the bigger one seemed pretty large on the wrist (my assumption without having held one)

I did. I set up a try on appointment at the local Apple Store. I felt the 38mm was too small.

I would recommend setting up an appointment if you are on the fence.
