Whoop Band vs Apple Watch

Currently have an Apple watch SE, but looking to get more into fitness and take my health more seriously. Does anyone have positive comments about the Whoop band or should I just stick with my apple watch?

Apple watch
Worst “fitness product” on the market. If you don’t sleep with whatever you are using on, it’s useless.
Whoop is fairly expensive and they’re very much a tech company (I mean that kind of in a bad way everything feels a little over the top) but it’s a good product, I used it for about 3 years. I use garmin watches now and find that it’s comparable as far as data tracking accuracy.
Also, you’ll get better answers on the health and fitness board

Do you find it as accurate as the Apple Watch? I've heard mixed reviews regarding the HR sensor and sleep tracking.

Personally I don’t know, as I’ve never owned one, but from everything online, it should be.
As I said, if you aren’t actually wearing a fitness wearable nearly 24 hours a day (especially when you sleep), it’s useless

Agreed. I wear my Apple Watch 24/7. The the thing about Garmin I like better is that is has useful ways to show you data. ie body battery, sleep score, etc. However, if that data is uses isn't as accurate, idk how useful that actually is.

It’s been around for over a decade. Is valued probably around a billion dollars and has investment (which includes marketing) from the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Ronaldo….
But sure Cad

i have loved my fitbit luxe mainly due to the fact the battery lasts 2 weeks and its no larger than the old livestrong band everyone used to wear.
tracks all manner of shite; sleep quality, blood o2 levels, afib events..of course HR and steps..
my biggest bitch is google bought fitbit and driving it off a cliff. i refuse to switch to google (still have a year before i'm forced) and they're already dismantling the fitbit API you can plug into to get every last morsel of data your band has ever recorded.
i'm still pissed about it. cad's endorsement is the kiss of death of every single tech in the history of the world.

did you know will.i.am. purchased WINK and the jetson-1 flying car??
oh those must be tech titans too
mingo is always righto

Official wearable of the PGA Tour, investments and worn by Ronaldo, Patrick mahomes, Michael Phelps, Rory Mcilroy, LeBron, and Kevin Durant.
My only point is your statement was uneducated and just factually wrong

Just say you were unfamiliar with the product and didn’t know what you were talking about, it’s not that big of a deal

Whoop does not have a significant market share in the overall wearables or fitness tracker market. While it's popular among athletes and fitness enthusiasts, and has a strong brand presence, its customer base is relatively small compared to major players like Apple, Huawei, and Xiaomi. In the ecommerce marketing category, Whoop has a 0.00% market share, according to 6Sense.
how about i say that instead
but you keep being you
eta muh billion dollar company w/ athlete investors & junk with a 0.00 market share

I find that mine is accurate. I wore garmin and whoop simultaneously for about 45 days a couple of years ago and if anything I found the garmin was more accurate. I’d sleep like a dead body and whoop would say I spent a good amount of the night awake while garmins numbers more accurately reflected how I felt.
As far as heart rate and blood pressure and all that, no wrist wearable is going to be as accurate as a chest strap but I haven’t had any problems or seen some sort of big glaring problem online with garmins data.

Well yeah, it’s not the same market. Whoop is an actual fitness wearable, not an Apple Watch. Just say you weren’t aware of the product, it’s fine.

Unless it’s theranos, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon

tl;dr mingo is self-conscious nobody else wearing his whoop-do fitness tracker he has to invoke celebrity names and billion dollar figures to justify that he bought something likely heading for the dustbin of history.
considering i was a competitive amateur bike racer for years, i'm pretty sure i know my way around the history of HR monitors, power meters and have a drawer full of devices from Polar chest bands to all kinds of power meter doodads.
but keep assuming you are the only person who knows what a fitness wearable is and that i assume its an apple watch.
next mingo is going to insist i take a photo of all my race tags and piles of polar chest straps.

I don’t use the product and even if I did, you don’t own it, it’s a subscription model. More evidence to the fact you don’t know what it is.

You’re the one that used an article to compare it to the Apple Watch
Which is retarded. All the fat women at my office have an Apple Watch for when they can’t waddle over to their phone quick enough
For the third time, you said something dumb because you didn’t know what the product was before you started spouting off. Not the end of the world, learn something and move on. Don’t triple down on stupid

that was chatgpt, dumbass. i queried "whoop band market share" and copied what it replied with.
why are you the way you are? its ok, you can still get in on the whoop ipo when it happens.

wtf does that have to do with anything? fitbit has a premium model that charges a monthly fee too.
keep floundering
