Anyone heard any news of Baker and the Tulane job recently?

Marty just announced on SEC network that he texted Lane for confirmation if LSU was sending two planes tomorrow morning to Oxford. Lane responded “No.”

I’m sitting at home right now and my heart is racing waiting for the news. If Lane ends up coming I will be ecstatic, but if it turns out to be false there needs to bans thrown out like candy on Halloween.

Won’t take the Brown slander. He has been great for us when we use him correctly. I have been high on him all year and when he’s in a spot to succeed he always does his job.
The problem lies in Nuss’s inability or refusal to throw the deep ball, and play calling resulting in mostly screens behind or at the LOS.
If you actually watch the games, every time there is a deep ball that is accurate for Barion, he either comes down with it or draws a defensive PI.

Going into the bye week

Obviously this morning there has been a lot of chatter on this board about an entire cleansing of the offensive staff and CBK being gone after a (likely inevitable) loss to bama.
With that being said, why even wait to fire Kelly until after bama weekend? If he has no offensive staff, or at worst a brand new one, he’s being set up to fail. Obviously I want Kelly fired, but I don’t want our team to look completely clueless next week playing at bama.
I say we fire Kelly as soon as possible and get the damage done with, and move into the bye week with a fresh start and hopefully we can show some fire against a good bama team. Obviously this is a pretty rough spot in our program, but I feel that if a change is going to happen, it needs to happen now. Delaying the process isn’t going to do anybody any favors.

I have heard about Tecovas and they look and seem pretty nice, some of my friends have them. Do they hold up well if I was outside for extended amounts of time? I was concerned with durability if I were to go tailgating or something alone those lines as Tecova reviews online have them marketed more of a classy pair of boots compared to something rugged

I got a pair of Justin boots last winter as a gift from my parents, and they have rubber soles and look and feel like work boots. I want something that looks more classic and has a more traditional design. I don't work outside a lot, and if I do I'm not going to be wearing boots. Just need something to go with khaki pants or some jeans when need be. Anyone have some suggestions for boots, preferably under $500?
