TCL 5 series

Samsung Q60

Not sure about each refresh rate.
We watch movies and sports.
Brightness is not a concern.

I’d be open to another 75” option if around $1,100-$1,300

I would highly recommend reading the RTINGS review of the Vizio quantum dot TVs.

If they have the features you need, then they are a better value than samsung plus Vizio gives you Dolby Vision.

TCL makes a fine TV but you need to get to the TCL 6 series to get to comparable models, IMO. If you like the TCL 5, go for it.

I just got the TCL 5 series last week and love it. I got the 65 inch from Best Buy. Had to return the first one for defective panel, but the second one is great. What would you like to know about it?

The 5 series isn’t as bright as the Samsung, so if it’s in a bright room, the Samsung might be better.

I can’t speak to the Vizio. But I know they make good TVs.

Vizio is a California company. TCL is all chink.

That said, go find yourself a Sony or Samsung that will last.

I bought 2 Samsung 75 inch 7000 series for my back Porch to go along with my 75 inch Q80 for my living room for my new house I just built. They all work just fine for what I need. Hell I’ve got 2 55 inch and a 65 inch 8000 series TV’s for my master and spare bedrooms and those 3 were 3k to 4k TVs back when I bought them. I bought them open box at the right time over the years at Best Buy and got 50 to 60% off. Over the years I just add a Apple TV or fire stick to keep up with the apps. I’ve never had a problem with a Samsung TV for the last 10 years.
