Where do you buy your new android phones now?

Looks like Samsung has a decent trade in deal to get a S22 for $249 trading in a S21. My wife is having minor issues with her phone, so I thought this might be a good deal.
Where do you buy your android phone, and do you trade in your old one?
If we went with another brand such as a Pixel or Motorola, can you transfer data from old phone to new phone like you can with Samsung Smart Switch?

Samsung the last few years, best trade in deals.

Not really your question - but I don't buy new phones. I recently bought a S10+ from Swappa in order to replace my work phone which will be going away. I got a great phone for a bit over $200.

I replaced my s10+ with an s21+ for 300 on swappa. I don't think I'll ever buy new again.
