I am getting the wifey (no pics) a MacBook Pro 16” for Xmas. Any ideas as to when/where a good deal may be had on them in the next month?

I’m not looking for a give away, as I know that won’t happen. I am just looking for a couple hundred off without having to apply for a new credit card.

Best Cheap Macbook Deals November 2020

They are expensive no matter what, but there's some early Black Friday promotions that will give you what you're looking for.

The only discounts I usually see is an education discount for teachers/students.

Back to school really is the only appreciable discount. Resellers like B+H and Best Buy typically announce a small (relatively speaking) discount. If she’s okay with refurbs, the refurbished page at Apple.com has great deals and for warranty purposes Apple treats them the same a brand new.
