We’re using Dragon Legal and are pretty underwhelmed. Is there anything else out there that works well?

around 10k people in our org are hooked up on this..

I know from my past IT roles it sucked but it was usually user error and when it worked, IT WORKED...

(mostly doctors and people with non English first languages)

Help me with this. Was it a particular setting or what? It’s not learning our language and still making just basic errors.

Thats honestly all i got...

Teaching Doctors that they need to speak slower and "more English" had its own tricks...I'm not in that realm anymore, but I know our company still uses it massively

I thought AI was supposed to have solved the transcription process.

the response to this and the other AI mention above, see my comment above..

The majority of the issues with ANY program that does dictation are linguistic..

Watch a YouTube video that has CC done by AI

oh i agree those transcriptions are still pretty awful. lots of context clues are missing and the word they 'think' is being said makes no sense but a human or more sophistiacted AI algorithm should be able to catch that.

eta it feels like these video CC services are using dollar-tree AI or at the very least, they don't care enough to use something smart enough to get it right.

I used Dragon when I couldn't type in 21 but it discontinued personal packages. Now have to buy corporate for several hundred dollars. Very big in the medical profession.
