I now have a drawer full of the kids old iPads and iPhones. They are at least a few years old, but all work. Some are locked because kids can’t remember passwords and some have broken screens.
Do they hold any real value? Is there a good place to trade-in? Or even donate? I hate to just throw them away.

Depends. I got offered $10 trade for an 6S but a year ago we got $700 each for 2 7's... figure that out.

As a regular trade in, they’re only worth a couple bucks each. You’d probably be better off donating and getting a write off.

However, if you’re looking to buy something new, you’ll often find enhanced trade in deals. For example, Samsung is running a promo where you get a significant discount on a new galaxy watch if you trade in just about ANY smart watch.

For the ones that are locked, connect them to a computer with iTunes and put them into recovery mode to wipe/reset the PIN.
