What kind of speaker wire should I get?

I just got some cheap rock speakers to put outside my house (basically right on the edge of my house). 95% of the speaker cables will be run under the house.

Would I be fine with some regular thick speaker cable or should I get some more expensive stuff?

I'll probably just need to run 4 10-15' runs

I’m no expert, but I would imagine 14-16 gauge wire would be fine.

Most people can tell absolutely no difference between different speaker cable.

Google Speaker cable vs coat hanger.

16 gauge direct burial speaker wire is what I would use.

But a coat hanger would obviously degradate more than a shielded cable

I have an unused coax line running to my living room (I'm using a different coax line for my internet) that I was planning on fishing the speaker wire with, so I wasn't going to do any burying under the house.

Is that 16g burial wire (could you link some?) be worth the extra cost over a plain thicker speaker wire, if there is an added cost?

You could measure a difference. Doubt you could hear a difference. Especially on cheap speakers.

You get direct burial wire because it's made to deal with the elements. Unless under the house is a basement I'd do what TIgerwise suggested.

Monoprice

just add whatever connectors you need - audio difference with cheap speakers may not be worth it but higher end audio is.
