I’m trying to order a new one. It’s for my security camera.
My dog got ahold to it.

The end your dog chewed up is a Cat5 or 6 Balun. The other end looks like a DC power connector but I'm not sure. Was that end plugged into a power source?

I deleted my post because I felt the same but it is definitely power not video.

It is some sort of Power Pass Through Balun but I can't find your exact one with just the DC connector. Most I find have 2 connectors; a DC connector and a BNC connector for video.

Yes, the cat5 is coming from a powered source to provide POE (power over Ethernet).

It’s a cox product so I’m trying to bypass dealing with them and just get the part myself

That's what I found as well.

Think this would work? Just wouldn’t use the male ethernet cable

I guess its worth $2.64 to try it. I would try the balun with the 2 connectors too and just use the DC connector.

Yeah it's just a PoE injector but it seems dumb as frick to use it just for power and then wifi for data.

You should probably double check your PoE standard being used. This is a passive cable. It won't work with 802.3af/t, which your camera almost certainly isn't, but you should at least check first.
Passive PoE is often anywhere from 24v/0.5a to 48v/1a. It doesn't look like your cable had any 'active' component to it, but I'd at least check the eBay link and confirm that it's not INcompatible with any of those.
I'd hate to fry a camera with a silly little cable. And you probably won't. But it's at least worth taking a little look at first.
ETA: 'active' PoE is a standard used that allows your device to negotiate the power it is drawing. 'passive' PoE is basically turning the RJ45 switch into a power socket, and the power draw is "dumb," so mismatch can be bad. Again, it doesn't look like there's anything 'active' about this part of your chain, and it would be weird for a camera to use the 802.3xx standard without...data...but it's a weird setup anyway, so I wouldn't put anything past them.

I have seen that cox setup. They just find a power outlet in the attic or something and run cat5 to the awnings or wherever. Then use their wireless home automation thing. Dumb as hell. Should just home run them back to the closet. Plus I had to find a crazy long URL to "hack" the cameras so we can connect them to the users own wifi since they had some nice mesh stuff and the cox home wifi thing could not reach all cameras.
