Like, you are buying a new phone and want to transfer them over? I'm pretty sure Android messages will do that. I believe everything got transferred over when I got my pixel 2

You can connect it to Google Drive which makes copying the files super easy. You can also schedule a job to regularly copy the SMS and MMS. The job will even clean up and only retain the number of copies of the info you want. It is super awesome and easy to use.

Wish textra had this feature. Got the paid app and yet option doesn't exist.

Yeah, Textra is just a texting app. It is the best one the market. It just doesn't do backups. The app I linked is the best backup and restore app though. Simple and easy.
