IP Torrents after I've tried a few. I've never seen buffering and even watch via VLC on my phone sometimes. If you're watching ABC or something like that and the channel isn't working just switch to a different ABC. There are 500 of them from every city in the US.

Iptorr/privateiptv buffers for me occasionally (hardwired Nvidia Shield Pro, tivimate, gigabit fiber) but overall very good service. I've got my parents on my second line and they are thrilled with not having a cable bill.

yourservice.website is the best option I've found for "server hosting." Been using it for years now.

I use this one. For the price, it is meh. Channels are decent and you can customize what shows up. The EPG is junk! Can never tell what is playing. Also has very few movies, and almost no shows. 24//7 streams work well, and live TV works well.

What would be the most rock solid IPTV service if all I care about is high bitrate sports with no buffering?

Is there an instruction guide 101 somewhere for starting with IPTV? I am a total newb to it but want to figure it out. Any suggestions?

It can be as simple as you want or as complicated as you want. Just Google IPTV guide Reddit or something similar and start reading. You can just get a provider and TiviMate on a Fire stick on roll with that. Or you can do you own custom playlist with multiple providers and EPG data like I do for a more cable-like experience. That requires a lot more effort and work though.
