What ever happened to the Samsung Smartthings hub?

They don’t seem to be available anywhere, other than used on eBay. Did Samsung stop making them? Is there a better alternative?

Nevermind. I finally came upon a page that answers my question. Apparently some company called “Aeotec” is branded on the hub that was formerly branded by Samsung. If only local businesses such as Best Buy sold this newer version.

Samsung decided to just focus on the software/ecosystem and get out of the hardware side (hub, sensors, etc) and let other companies do it.

So is this a good hub to get? I had a Wink, but they went full retard. Haven’t replaced it yet because I thought I was going with Smarthings, but couldn’t find them. Thought about the harmony home hub, but decided against it as well.
I need ZWave and Alexa compatibility.

I went with hubitat. A bit of a learning curve but I love being able to do anything I can imagine with it.

I still have one new in the box I got on clearance. I suppose it's not worth much.

I’m still a little ways from finishing the remodel and moving. If he still has it you can have first shot.
