I've been trying to figure this shite out and it's really aggravating me. I'm watching the game on a roku connected to my tv through the watchespn app. My internet service is through Cox and I pay for 50 Mbps, I just ran a test and it's at 18.67 Mbps, which I think should still be fast enough to stream live video. Anyone know what the problem can be? It buffers every couple minutes, and most of the time it don't come back on, I have to go back and click on the game again.

Btw, my dad is paying for 100 Mbps and his just tested at 51 Mbps and is cutting out frequently, so that makes me think it's not the Internet service. Could it be the roku? Or sec+?

That's what I'm thinking too.

No. It is..it's giving everyone issues
They need to get it fixed for next year..it's really annoying

Very annoying. I appreciate being able to watch it but make the shite work properly.

Just talked to a buddy from NO and he watches on an Apple TV, said he don't recall it ever cutting out once.

I have attempted on both ROKU, Fire TV and Fire Stick. The Fire TV and ROKU were both hardwired with 50+mbps..still had the buffering issues. I would switch over to an ESPN3 stream and it was flawless.

Just talked to another friend with Apple TV and same thing. I might trash this damn roku and get an Apple TV.

Yeah I watch acc games and I don't recall it cutting out like this. Idk, I'm baffled now.

Slow down, brah
The issue could be fixed for next season, and after this weekend, no LSU games will be on SECN+. I'd wait it out, tbh.

Same situation with cox and Roku. Buffering drives me insane. Watch on my iPad and there is no buffering

Which Roku is it? I had buffering issues on some channels on the 1 and 2, but the 3 and 4 I never had that problem unless the stream itself was having trouble.

It happens on Apple TV too. Just an issue that needs fixing.

I use a Chromecast and have the shitty 5mbps package from cox and haven't had it cut out once this year.

I've found it's much better when going through a chromecast vs. my roku.

I believe it is an issue with the espn app on roku, not roku itself. i find that i can exit the stream and reload it a few times and eventually one will work well. last night it was happening to me on both the nba game and the baseball game.
eta: The app performing better on Apple TV is not super surprising. The app would share similar code to the ios apps, which probably get the most attention from espn (in front of many many more eyes)
